Over a decades-long career\, his horn has been featured alongside legends including Horace Silver\, Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers\, Charles Mingus\, Clark Terry\, Joe Henderson\, and the Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Orchestra. As a first-call studio musician\, he has also recorded with artists ranging from James Taylor and Bruce Springsteen to Parliament-Funkadelic\, Jaco Pastorius\, and Frank Zappa. \nA key contributor to jazz-rock fusion\, Brecker was a member of Blood\, Sweat & Tears and co-founded the group Dreams before forming the groundbreaking Brecker Brothers with his brother Michael. The band became a major force in jazz and popular music\, earning multiple Grammy nominations and widespread acclaim. \nFollowing the group’s hiatus\, Brecker continued an expansive career as a bandleader and collaborator\, including work with Jaco Pastorius and numerous international tours.
