SUMMARY:New York Voices
DESCRIPTION:New York Voices \nEarly Show | $75 Main Room Seating – $30 Bar Seating \nNew York Voices\, formed in the mid-1980s at Ithaca College\, has become one of the most respected vocal jazz ensembles in the world. Founding members Peter Eldridge\, Kim Nazarian\, Darmon Meader\, and Caprice Fox began performing together in a student ensemble before moving to New York City in 1988\, where they built a following and signed with GRP Records. Their debut album introduced a signature sound that blends traditional jazz with contemporary influences. \nAfter lineup changes in the early years\, the group solidified as a quartet\, continuing to refine its identity through recordings such as New York Voices Sing the Songs of Paul Simon. Over the decades\, they have released ten studio albums and collaborated with leading artists and ensembles\, including the Count Basie Orchestra\, Paquito D’Rivera\, and the Dizzy Gillespie All-Star Big Band. \nIn addition to performance\, New York Voices has made a lasting impact through education\, launching a Vocal Jazz Camp in 2008 and maintaining active roles as educators at institutions including Berklee College of Music and New York University. \nAfter nearly four decades of touring and recording worldwide\, New York Voices has announced plans to retire in 2026\, concluding a career defined by artistry\, collaboration\, and enduring influence. \nLISTEN TO NEW YORK VOICES
