Premiere will benefit the JFMAF/JAS Music Arts Scholarship programs. \nStarring Steve Zahn (White Lotus)\, Jess Gabor (Shameless)\, Judy Greer (Halloween Ends)\, Roselyn Sanchez (Fantasy Island) Jorge A. Jimenez (Narcos) \nLongtime local\, EJ Foerster\, (action director/associate producer) and former Aspenite\, Patrick Hasburgh\, (writer/ director) both of “Aspen Extreme” fame; have teamed up again on GRINGA\, an indie feature filmed on location in Mexico. Snowmass filmmaker\, Marny Eng\, co-directs and produces alongside Foerster with Hasburgh penning this original screenplay. \nLarge Marge Bickford (Jess Gabor)\, “Butt too big\, boobs too small—generation XL”\, navigates the halls of her high school and the chalked lines of its soccer field with the same sense of failure and dread. This is not a happy kid. Marge is most often alone but not necessarily lonely\, just resigned. Life is passing her by and she doesn’t seem to mind…until the death of her nearly perfect Mom (Judy Greer). \nMarge refuses to move to Arizona to live with her ultra-conservative grandparents and instead flees to Mexico to find her dad (Steve Zahn) \n…a washed-up pro soccer star who ran away to hide from his parental responsibilities\, a bad marriage and the stink of failure. \nBut the humbled American soccer phenom has found his niche in a small village on Mexico’s central west coast. Jackson Bickford is the local handyman and beloved coach of the village’s ragtag women’s equipo de fútbol.  \nUntil his daughter shows up. \nGRINGA is a heartwarming story of healing and second chances. DESCRIPTION:Nicole Henry\nFebruary 10 & 11\, 2023\n7pm & 9:15pm \n@ The Little Nell\nSince her debut\, Nicole Henry has established herself among the jazz world’s most acclaimed performers\, possessing a potent combination of dynamic vocal abilities\, impeccable phrasing\, and powerful emotional resonance. \nHer passionate\, soulful voice and heartfelt charisma have earned her a Soul Train Award for “Best Traditional Jazz Performance\,” and four Top-10 U.S. Billboard\, Jazz Week and HMV Japan jazz albums. Heralded by The New York Times\, Wall Street Journal\, The Japan Times\, El Pais\, Jazz Times\, Essence and more\, Ms. Henry tells real stories through peerless interpretations of repertoire from the American Songbook\, classic and contemporary jazz\, popular standards\, blues and originals. \nShe has captivated audiences in over 20 countries\, headlining at venues in cities including New York\, Tokyo\, Madrid\, Moscow\, Paris\, Shanghai\, Los Angeles\, Chicago\, Boston\, San Francisco and Miami. Ms. Henry has also performed in more than 30 music festivals worldwide and in some of the world’s most famous venues including Blue Note; Jazz at Lincoln Center; Blues Alley; Arsht Center; Feinstein’s; Green Mill; Jazz St. Louis; Madrid Jazz Festival; the Regattabar; and Catalina Jazz. \nShe has recorded with some of today’s musical greats including Kirk Whalum\, Julian Lage\, and Gerald Clayton and has performed with the Duke Ellington Orchestra\, the Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra and Michael Feinstein.  In late 2019\, Ms. Henry returned to the theatrical stage and garnered critical praise in the musical version of “The Bodyguard”; in Dec. 2021\, she began performing in the new musical “A Wonderful World\,” based on the life of Louis Armstrong; and in 2022\, she returned to the theatrical stage in “Smokey Joe’s Cafe.” \nGrowing up in a musical family in Bucks County\, PA\, Ms. Henry immersed herself in the arts early on\, singing in school and church\, and studying cello and ballet.
