Since Pandas & People’s debut in 2013, the Colorado-based band has found themselves attracting the attention of famed artists, diehard fans, and national radio. With a unique sound blending organic instruments with layers of upbeat Pop sounds and hook laden songwriting, P&P’s recorded material continues to become more eclectic with each release.

Currently in regular rotation on 93.3 KTCL, Denver’s largest iHeart Alternative station, their new single, “Bad Honey”, showcases a new venture into a realm of Alternative Pop, crafting an earnest and personal blend of sound, with gripping melodies, moving lyrics and edgy rhythms sections. Only weeks after their debut album release, “Out to Sea” charted in the NACC top 200 charts nationally, receiving regular airplay across the country from both college and commercial radio – subsequently leading to single’s “Find You” and “On My Way” breaking into the top 10 Shazam charts in the Denver-Metro area.

In recent years, the band has received several accolades, including being named “Audience Favorite” in KTCL’s Hometown for the Holiday’s competition and a two-time winner of “Best Folk Band” in 2016 and “Best Americana Act” in 2017 by Colorado’s renowned Westword Magazine.

Sharing the stage with well-known acts like Twenty One Pilots, The Doobie Brothers, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Leftover Salmon, Judah & the Lion and many more, Pandas & People are no strangers to a large audience. As a whole, the band continues to thrive not only in the Colorado music scene, but all over the country, and they are set to release a plethora of new content in 2021.

At its core, Augustus is a singer/songwriter band, whether presented in the medium of mahogany strings or driving spirals of fuzz and reverb. Since 2014 founding members Colin Kelly and Jim Herlihy have been burning the candle at both ends; they’ve toured coast to coast multiple times, recorded five studio albums, and licensed music to MTV, E! Channel, and multiple documentaries. With time on their hands, the band entered the studio in February 2021 to begin a feverish recording session. Reflecting on the undercurrent of anxiety widely felt during the early days of the pandemic, Augustus’ forthcoming 6th record adds yet another aspect to the band’s diverse and prolific catalog.

The Sweet Lillies’ high-energy, melodic tunes have quickly captured the hearts of fans in Colorado and beyond. The band credits its appeal to the original and compelling songwriting of three people who share an unwavering commitment to life on the road. The magnetic combination of Julie Gussaroff on the upright bass, Becca Bisque on the viola, and Dustin Rohleder on guitar gives the band a rare and alluring sound. Based out of Colorado’s Front Range, The Sweet Lillies are continually expanding their audience and reach with a contagious love of music and a get-up-and-dance attitude that spreads lots of love and smiles.
