SUMMARY:Polyrhythmics feat. Adryon de Léon
DESCRIPTION:LISTEN TO POLYRYTHMICS feat. Adryon de Léon \nSeattle-based Polyrhythmics are celebrating 16 years of sonic exploration\, entering an exciting new chapter with the arrival of vocalist Adryon de León as a full collaborative partner. Since forming in 2010\, this powerhouse ensemble has redefined instrumental music with a sound that blends funk\, soul\, psychedelic rock\, R&B\, and Afrobeat into a kaleidoscope of rhythm and groove. Known for their dynamic live performances and innovative compositions\, the band has earned a reputation as one of the most captivating acts on the contemporary music scene. \nEmerging from Seattle’s eclectic music community\, Polyrhythmics released their self-titled debut album in 2011. Their discography has since grown to include fan favorites Octagon (2015)\, Caldera (2017)\, Man from the Future (2020)\, and Life from Below (2025)\, each showcasing their fearless exploration of genre boundaries and vibrant\, deeply textured soundscapes. \nThe band’s relationship with de León has been four years in the making\, beginning with electrifying guest appearances and growing into a full creative partnership. Her vocal feature on “Smoke and Mirrors” from Life from Below offered listeners a glimpse of their chemistry. Now\, “Got to Be for Something\,” the first single from their forthcoming collaborative album due in early 2027\, brings that partnership into the spotlight\, drawing from the deep soul tradition and the influence of Aretha Franklin. Together\, Polyrhythmics and de León continue to expand their sound with new voices\, grooves\, and creative possibilities.

SUMMARY:Veronica Swift with the Colorado Jazz Repertory Orchestra - Supper Club
DESCRIPTION:LISTEN TO VERONICA SWIFT\n“She has a miraculous voice\, musical ability and technique\, as well as an innate gift for entertaining a crowd.” — The Wall Street Journal \nVeronica Swift has established herself as one of her generation’s most distinctive voices in jazz. Throughout her childhood\, she toured nationally with her parents\, jazz musicians Hod O’Brien and Stephanie Nakasian\, performing at renowned clubs and festivals. She recorded her first album at age nine\, launching a career that has included a second-place finish at the 2015 Thelonious Monk Jazz Competition\, a twice-yearly residency at Birdland Jazz Club\, performances with Chris Botti and Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra\, and recordings with Jeff Goldblum. \nHer 2021 album\, This Bitter Earth\, received a five-star review and the cover of DownBeat magazine\, and in 2024\, she was honored with a French knighthood as Chevalier in the Order of Arts and Letters. \nWhile her first two Mack Avenue releases established her as a master of scat improvisation and conceptual song cycles\, her self-titled 2023 album revealed an artistic direction extending beyond jazz into theatrical glam rock. She also co-founded the band DAME with The Dresden Dolls’ Brian Viglione. Since moving to Los Angeles in 2022\, Swift has pursued rock collaborations with artists including David Bowie pianist Mike Garson\, Luke Spiller of The Struts\, guitarist John Notto of Dirty Honey\, and The Lemon Twigs. SUMMARY:Ally Venable
DESCRIPTION:LISTEN TO ALLY VENABLE\nTexas blues-rock singer/songwriter and guitarist extraordinaire\, Ally Venable\, entertains wherever she goes. With her signature glitter dresses and black knee-high boots\, Venable comes off of the ropes swinging dazzling crowds on tour and throughout the festival circuit. “Venable pulls off a stunner of gritty and/or sultry blues rock tunes embellished with lots of tasty guitar solos.” – Guitar Player Magazine. \nA Kilgore\, Texas native\, Ally began singing at church at four and picked up the guitar at age 12. By 13\, she started her own band and\, through her early influence of Stevie Ray Vaughan captured the passion and yearning for more in the blues genre. Early releases No Glass Shoes (2016) and Puppet Show (2018) started her fanbase\, charting radio play and several East Texas Music Awards. It was 2019’s #2 Billboard Blues charting Texas Honey and sets on Ruf’s European Blues Caravan tour that propelled her internationally. \nIn her 20’s\, Venable released another Blues Billboard charting album\, Heart of Fire (2021)\, which challenged her to write about love and the unguarded honesty of feeling pain\, creating a tone of overcoming struggles and persevering. Mentor Kenny Wayne Shepherd lends his guitar skills on “Bring on the Pain.”
