For many YouTube is a great way to entertain yourself, share videos and catch up on the latest pop culture sensation. For a select few it is how you get “discovered”. Our Thursday June Experience highlightee is one of those select few. Jacob Collier’s YouTube videos were speeding around the internet when they caught the eyes of managers and producers, Quincy Jones and Adam Fell.
“He did a cover of Stevie Wonder’s classic ‘Don’t You Worry ‘Bout a Thing’ on YouTube and literally seven or eight people emailed the link to Quincy and me. Quincy absolutely lost his mind, he didn’t believe it. He was just like, ‘Holy Cow! This kid is just next level.’ So we emailed him cold through his website.” – Adam Fell recalls in an interview and article with Billboard Magazine.
