Open to Students Grades 5-12
Entries must be received by February 1, 2024
Winners will be announced by March 1, 2024
One High School winner will receive a cash prize of $500 plus the opportunity to perform your song live at a JAS Cafe event! On Middle School winner will receive a cash prize of $500 and up to four honorable mention winners will receive a cash prize of $100.
Submission Guidelines:
- Students are encouraged to submit an original song from any music genre.
- Submissions should include: an audio or video recording, a lyric sheet and students submission info (name, age, grade, school, email address)
- Students may submit a maximum of two songs each.
- Plagiarism of copyrighted materails is illegal. It is the responsibility of the songwriter to assure that music submitted is not copyrighted.

Entries will be judged based on their originality/creativity, music and lyrics. All entries will be justed by multiple professional musicians who will provide constructive feedback for every song.
