Here are the next 4 (click on their names to read their full bios):
Hometown: Mountain View, CASchool: Florida State UniversityWhat made you want to pursue a career in music?
I have always loved the freedom and personal aspect of writing and playing music, in addition to the relationships that are built along the way. The friends and music I have made so far are proof of this.
Hometown: Berkeley, CA
School: University of Miami
Where do you see yourself as an artist in 10 years?
In 10 years, I hope that I will have released some records and that I will have built a name for myself as a bandleader and sideman. I want to make lots of different kinds of music and I hope that someone listening to my music will enjoy hearing my development through varied projects.
Hometown: Clovis, CA
School: California State University – Northridge
What’s your favorite era of music and why?
My favorite era of music is right now. I love modern music, especially big band. The way it can emulate an orchestra is what draws me to it. There are limitless possibilities.
Hometown: Montclair, NJ
School: Princeton University
If you could play with any musician dead or alive who would it be and why?
I would play with Stevie Wonder because he is most certainly my favorite musician alive. His iconically soulful voice and beautiful songs and melodies were the soundtrack of my childhood. He and his music have an incredible ability to translate such a joyfulness to his audience/ listeners, and so I can’t even imagine the kind of bliss and musical transcendence that must be felt by the musicians that actually get to share the stage with him.
