EVENT CANCELLATION POLICY: The cost of each VIP Donor Pass for the JAS June & Labor Day Experience (Gold, Silver or National Council Membership) includes a fair market value component for admission to the event and a tax deductible donation, which supports JAS year-round education and programming . In the event that the event is cancelled for any reason, only the fair market value (FMV) component will be refunded or credited for future use. The tax deductible donation will not be refunded under any circumstances, including if the event is cancelled, as your donation and tax deduction will be acknowledged (per IRS rules) in the year in which you made the donation. JAS cannot carry forward this donation to the following year under any circumstances. JAS proudly uses the tax deductible contribution in furtherance of JAS’ mission of music education and performance programming.
If you elect to receive a credit for the FMV to a future event, if the ticket for the future event includes a tax deductible contribution component or increased FMV, you will need to pay the difference in connection with the new ticket value. For example, if you purchased a ticket to an event for $1,500 that included a $500 fair market value component and a $1,000 tax deductible donation, if the event is cancelled you would be entitled to a refund of $500 or a $500 credit against a ticket for a future event with JAS.

Bought tickets for a group? Make sure everyone enters together OR transfer tickets to friends before the event & have them follow the steps above to enter the venue.
A ticket transfer allows you to digitally give each guest in your party their own ticket via AXS Mobile ID. With seat transfers, you no longer need to worry about delivering the paper tickets to them in advance or meeting them outside of the gates to walk in together. There is no fee for transferring seats and you are allowed unlimited transfers.
Your guests will need to create an AXS account to receive tickets. Guests can transfer the tickets back to you if they can’t attend or you can cancel the transfer if they have yet to set up their AXS account. If they already have an AXS account set up the tickets will go in their account automatically.
Here’s how it works:
1. Click the Transfer button next to the event in your AXS account.
2. Select the tickets to transfer and enter the recipient’s information.
3. On the review page, click the Transfer button to send the tickets.
The recipient will get an email about the transfer, and they’ll need to create an AXS account (if they don’t have one yet) to complete the transfer. After that, the tickets will be theirs to use with the AXS app.
Review your transfer history within the Jazz Aspen Snowmass app by clicking on MY EVENTS and selecting TRANSFERRED. You may also review your transfers and purchase history at AXS.com
If you already have an AXS account, the tickets will be transferred to your account automatically. Otherwise, you’ll get an email letting you know you need to create an AXS account to claim the tickets. Just follow the simple steps to make the tickets officially yours.
Yep! They’ll just have to create an AXS account to claim their tickets.
They’ll also need to get the Jazz Aspen Snowmass app. When it’s time for the event, they can open the app to show their tickets on their phone. Make sure they do this prior to arriving at the venue to avoid any connectivity issues that could occur.
It depends. If your friend already has an AXS account, the tickets will be transferred instantaneously. Otherwise you have until your friend creates an account to cancel the transfer. Remember, your friends can always transfer tickets back to you.
The fan-to-fan exchange is the best place to sell your seats because it is the official marketplace endorsed by JAS. Tickets purchased through unofficial sources (such as Craigslist, StubHub, Vividseats etc.) may not be valid.
Here’s how it works:
1. Click the Sell button next to the event in your AXS Account.
2. Select the tickets to sell, and then set your price and selling options.
3. On the Review page, click the List Tickets button to finish.
When your tickets sell, you’ll receive an email informing you of the sale. The tickets will be delivered to the buyer automatically. You’ll be able to transfer money to your bank from your account on AXS.com.

SERVICE ANIMALS – Definition, Policies, and Procedures
JAS welcomes and supports the rights and attendance of all persons with disabilities that rely on the special skills of a trained service animal. What we DO NOT support, nor will tolerate, are pets being misrepresented by their owners as service animals, when in fact they are not. So please, don’t do it. Leave your pet at home. We mean it!
Service Animal Definition:
A ‘service animal’ means “any dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability. The work or tasks performed by a service animal must be directly related to the handler’s disability.”
Emotional support or comfort animals are not considered service animals under the ADA and therefore are not allowed at JAS.
Please note that all service dogs, including those from out of state are subject to local dog ordinances, which includes a valid rabies certificate.
Service Animal Policies:
For our patrons with disabilities who wish to bring their legitimate service animal to JAS, we ask that you review and follow the policies outlined below:
- Service animals must be accompanied by the handler with the disability at all times.
- Service animals must be under the control and supervision of their handler at all times.
- Service animals are not permitted to be left in camp unattended under any circumstances.
- Handlers are required to be prepared for, and clean-up after, their animals at all times.
- We reserve the right to remove and/or refuse access to any service animal from the campgrounds or venues if that animal is deemed to be a health or safety threat to festival patrons, staff, or other service animals, or in violation of these policies.
- All service animals must be credentialed by the JAS staff (see the procedures below).
SERVICE ANIMAL PROCEDURES:
All patrons with disabilities attending JAS this year with a service animal will need to have that animal credentialed by JAS staff before entering the main gate. This process will be performed quickly and respectfully by our Accessibility Staff.
We have set a goal of 80% waste diversion by 2021. We currently recycle all plastics, glass and cardboard created by our back of house and bars. In 2016, we implemented a patron diversion program, allowing our festival guests to participate in the effort by separating their waste into the proper recycle compost, or trash bins.
In 2018 we achieved an 88% diversion rate. Please do your part by putting your waste in the correct bin!
