When I was a Junior in high school, Jiggs Whigham recommended to me that I should pursue a career in music. This led me to seriously consider it.

Where do you see yourself as an artist in 10 years?
I see myself in Manhattan teaching, playing gigs around the city, possibly in a Broadway pit, or even being in one of the remaining touring big bands.

What’s your favorite era of music and why?
Bebop and hard bop from the 40’s to the 60’s hits close to home, but I do not think there is one best era of music in any genre.

If you could play with any musician dead or alive who would it be and why?
Ahhh!! Another tough choice, probably Coltrane. I’d kill to hear his sound and energy in person, and try to understand what gave him the strength to devote himself so completely to the music.
