King Cabbage Brass Band brings a high-energy, joy-driven sound rooted in funk, soul, jazz, and R&B. The group first came together in the summer of 2021 at Cry Baby Hill, Tulsa’s honky-tonk Mardi Gras, and has been building momentum ever since. Featuring eight performers and a powerful five-piece horn section, their live shows blend genres and keep audiences engaged with sing-along moments and nonstop grooves.

Since its formation, King Cabbage has become a regional favorite, performing at major festivals including SXSW and FORMAT Festival, alongside artists such as Leon Bridges and Alanis Morissette. The band has also sold out historic venues, performed for the Oklahoma City Thunder and Tulsa Drillers, and brought its signature energy to a wide range of events, from large-scale productions to private celebrations.

Rooted in Tulsa’s rich musical heritage, the band is developing its own sound through original, multi-genre compositions. Recording near Leon Russell’s Church Studio, they continue to contribute to the evolving Tulsa Sound.

At its core, King Cabbage Brass Band is committed to bringing people together through music, honoring the traditions of brass band culture while creating inclusive, high-spirited experiences for every audience.
