JAS and The Arts Center at Willits will present a free student workshop on Saturday, Feb. 26 from 5:30-6:30 with the LowDown Brass Band! Open to any interested Middle or High School band students, this interactive workshop will focus on modern Brass Band music style and improvisation. To register please email jazzaspensnowmass@jazzaspensnowmass.org with your name, school, grade and instrument. The workshop will take place at TACAW in Basalt (400 Robinson St.).
Following the workshop students are encouraged to stick around for the LowDown Brass Band performance, starting at 8pm and featuring opening act the Roaring Fork High School Jazz Band. Tickets for the show are available now at tacaw.org.
