Morgan James (MJ) is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and producer. She graduated from The Juilliard School with a bachelor’s degree in classical voice, with a concentration in opera. Morgan has been in the cast of five Broadway productions and a label artist at Epic Records. She is also known for her collaborations with the jazz collective Postmodern Jukebox.
Today, Morgan is an independent recording artist based in New York. She identifies herself as a soul singer, but she is also a frequent symphony pops soloist. Morgan recently premiered her new show “Symphonic Soul: Morgan James and The Memphis Sound” and continues to participate in Broadway concerts. She has also produced a remake of Andrew Lloyd Weber’s famous musical “Jesus Christ Superstar”, with herself starring as Jesus Christ.
