Ingenuity
Ingenuity is a new yet old group. Since most of us are graduates of the Thelma Yellin School of the Arts in Israel. We are made up of four generations who enjoyed playing together as young jazz musicians. This past year has been difficult to meet and play regularly, with no gigs or Jazz Festivals in site; we haven’t had many accomplishments this year as we had hoped for.
We all contribute and write our own music on a very high level. Each member has past experience some played in the Umbria Jazz Festival; others are graduates of The New School / Berklee. All of the members have played regularly in Boston, New York, Tel Aviv jazz scene.
We are all influenced by many different kinds of music. Our music is rooted in the traditional jazz with a modern touch, building a bridge allowing those traditions to seep into today’s modernized world. This union is what we would like to bring to today’s audience. As a young jazz ensemble, we would like the opportunity to work with the best jazz musicians available, to learn from them and to achieve our goal, in bringing our audience the Ingenuity in Jazz today.
