What made you want to pursue a career in music?
I come from a musical family, music is everything to me and the thing that excites me most, and I just don’t see myself pursuing any other career than music.

Where do you see yourself as an artist in 10 years?
I hope to be traveling the world with my band and other bands playing as much and experience as much life as possible.

Hometown: Cincinnati, OH
School: University of Miami
What’s your favorite era of music and why?

My favorite era of music is that of today! There is so much at our fingertips from which we can create and by which we can be inspired. The biggest issue is really figuring a way to filter out all the inconsequential material, which is also unfortunately in abundance to the proliferation of recording technology.

If you could play with any musician dead or alive who would it be and why?

Wynton Marsalis. He has had an unquantifiable musical influence on me, and he is and always will be my favorite trumpet player.
