New Local’s Only Season Memberships Available Dec. 4

With the grand opening of the new Paul JAS Center and ten nights of holiday performances just around the corner, JAS (Jazz Aspen Snowmass) today announced the official opening Winter Season schedule for their new permanent home, including an expanded JAS Café series stretching through early April. And with the new JAS Local’s Only Membership, Roaring Fork Valley residents will have an option to purchase show tickets at discounts throughout the year.

“Bringing the Paul JAS Center to life in downtown Aspen’s core is a dream come true for JAS that will allow us to serve this community in ways only a permanent and secure venue can ensure, and for generations to come.  JAS has created a stylish, warm and uniquely intimate space that will take its place as a beloved new “gathering spot” in Aspen. Fifteen years after the JAS Café series launched in 2011, both JAS and the community are ready for this next step,” said JAS Founder and CEO Jim Horowitz.

The JAS Café line-up includes twenty winter nights of shows including a mix of favorite returning artists to JAS as well as many highly anticipated JAS debuts. The series will have a distinctly international flair, including many world-renowned Artists from Italy, Spain, and Canada, as well as a 4-night Cuban mini-festival in late March featuring the sizzling sounds of the emerging global superstar, Cimafunk, as well as a first-ever collaboration between JAS and DanceAspen, featuring a live, spontaneous & unscripted improv with dancers and the high-energy Cuban Duo of Percussionist-Vocalists, OKAN.

Other season highlights include musically themed weekends with two different artists including for example Oh, Canada! featuring two Canadian vocalists, Guitar-Mania, Crazy Keys, Blues Summit and Souled Out.

Like the June JAS Experience, which has found its footing in recent years, the Paul JAS Center will embrace jazz and its many related forms of music: blues, funk, soul, New Orleans, world music, instrumentalists and vocalists … and more!

A new series of shows will feature the introduction of a new “dance-friendly” format called “Café-Dance” allowing attendees to sit and listen at JAS Café tables or stand and dance in designated areas.  Highlights include the March 7-8 performance from one of June JAS’ 2023 hit artists, Big Sam’s Funky Nation and the late March show Alfredo Rodriguez – “Coral Way”, celebrating the dizzying array of fiery Caribbean and pan-Latin rhythms heard in Miami’s Latin commercial heart-beat, the street of Coral Way, from Reggaeton to Salsa, Timba to Bachata and more.

The full schedule of JAS Café performances can be found here.

The Paul JAS Center will feature the option of dining before or during shows with an exceptional small-plate menu from Epicure Catering, the Paul JAS Center’s in-house culinary dream-team.

A new feature at JAS Café concerts in 2026 will be a modestly priced ($30) SRO/Bar ticket, allowing access to the Bar as well as a designated SRO area in the main room venue during Café-Dance performances.
