If you’ve never experienced the JAS June Experience, let us give you a little tour of what you could miss out on! With three nights of music taking place all around Downtown Aspen, you have the flexibility of creating your own schedule, taking in music from a variety of genres, and creating your perfect night out! Thursday – June 20
2 pm-9 pm – At any point during the day, swing by the Wheeler Opera House, where the JAS Box Office will be set up to grab your wristband, which will allow you entrance to all participating general admission venues as well as the late shows in the VIP tent. Be sure to grab your Official Experience program while you are there! Even better, download our app now for info on all bands and venues and nightly updates on venue capacities!
5 pm – Get an early start on the evening with Stephane Wrembel Gypsy Jazz at Felix Roasting Co (located in the Hotel Jerome)
6 pm- You will not have to walk long to catch R&B duo Acute Inflections at Bad Harriet (also located in the Hotel Jerome)
7pm – Go get your fix of the New Orleans vibe with The Rumble feat. Chief Joseph Boudreaux, Jr. at The Sterling
8:15pm – Keep the dance going with African group Mokoomba at Unravel Coffee
9 pm – Drumroll please! New this year, with your GA ticket you can enjoy the late show at the VIP tent so head over the Rio Grande Park VIP tent and catch the Tribute to Aretha Franklin featuring Ms Lisa Fischer with the JAS Academy Big Band led by Christian McBride
10 pm – After such a good night of music, the grand finale awaits with Big Bad Voodoo Daddy at Belly Up.
Friday – June 21
5:30pm – Get Day 2 started at the Limelight Aspen with our very own JAS Street Horns Band followed by Ben Paterson Organ Trio
7:15pm – Pop out a little early and take a stroll over to Belly Up to check out The New Mastersounds celebrating their 25th anniversary
8pm – Next up, head over to the Wheeler Lobby to see Jazz bassist/vocalist Katie Thiroux and her Trio.
8:45pm – If you prefer one longer set to three smaller ones, your next stop should be the W Hotel for blues guitarist Cedric Burnside.
10pm – It’s not time to stop yet! Head back to Belly Up for The New Mastersounds second set OR to Felix Roasting Co (located in the Hotel Jerome) to catch Stephane Wrembel Gypsy Jazz last set!
Saturday, June 22
5:30 pm – Hopefully you got the two or three day pass and are ready for one more stroll through the neighborhood, starting with The Headhunters celebrating their 50th Anniversary at the Wheeler Opera House.
6:30 pm – Sneak out a little early and head over the Aspen Art Museum to see Grammy-award winner Cory Henry.
From the AAM, take the three block stroll to the Limelight Hotel and grab at drink at the lobby while you wait for Christian Mcbride Trio: Remembering Ray Brown show.
10pm – You know you’re not ready to go home yet! Not until you swing into Belly Up for Jon Cleary & the Absolute Monster Gentlemen w/special guest Nigel Hall. The perfect party to end your night.
Sunday, June 23
What better way to relax after the late nights than brunch! Tickets are still available for the Gospel Brunch located at the Rio Grande Park VIP Tent and featuring a delicious meal by European Caterers, bottomless mimosas, Woody Creek Distillers Bloody Mary bar, and music from The Blind Boys of Alabama.
