Per new Pitkin County recommendations JAS will require all attendees at the JAS June Experience and JAS Cafe events to be either fully vaccinated or to provide a current negative COVID test.  At least 80% of the venue’s capacity will be devoted to attendees who can demonstrate that they are fully vaccinated, and up to 20% of the venue’s capacity will be devoted to attendees who provide a negative COVID test. Antigen tests are acceptable for those who have previously had COVID. This policy is intended to provide the safest possible environment and most normal concert experience possible for artists, audiences and staff. Per Pitkin County Health’s new guidelines the only way to gather indoors for events without distancing and without masks, ie the normal pre-COVID concert experience, is to reach the threshold of 80% of attendees being fully vaccinated. By implementing the 80/20 requirement JAS will be able to significantly increase capacities at most venues of the June Experience and the JAS Café.

Attendees will need to show proof of complete vaccination at a minimum of two weeks prior to the event. For any non-vaccinated attendees a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours of the event will be required for entry. More information on the process of providing JAS with your information will follow soon.

The JAS policy closely mirrors what Belly Up announced recently for its summer 2021 season based on the new Pitkin County Health guidelines, as both organizations are seeking a consistent experience for indoor summer performances.

We respect individuals’ rights to make their own choice regarding this policy, which is why we are offering the testing option. If you currently have tickets to a June or Cafe event and are not planning to be vaccinated or choose not to be tested we are happy to provide you with a full refund. Please contact us at 970-920-4996 or jazzaspensnowmass@jasaspensnowmass.org to make that request.

JAS is currently working with all venues on opening capacities and contacting those on our waitlist for tickets. Please be on the lookout for correspondence from JAS regarding ticket updates.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation with this new policy, helping to keep our community safe and KEEP THE MUSIC PLAYING!

Regarding the September 3-5, 2021 JAS Labor Day Experience, JAS will be announcing its full line-up of Artists in early June. “We are closely monitoring all the rapidly changing protocols for major outdoor entertainment and sporting events in the state of Colorado and nationally, while working in tandem with local Pitkin County Health and government officials, following that guidance to operate safely for the highly anticipated season closing event, capping our 30th Anniversary! Based on the recent announcement by the City of Denver that Red Rocks would be re-opening at full capacity on June 21, we are optimistic about JAS operating at nearly full or full capacity for our season closing event in early September,” said JAS President & CEO Jim Horowitz.
