Omeed Nyman

Omeed Nyman is pursuing his Bachelor of Music Degree in Classical Bass Trombone Performance at Temple University under the guidance of Mr. Blair Bollinger. Omeed is currently a member of the Temple University Jazz Band, led by Terell Stafford; the band this past year was able to achieve 1st place at the Jack Rudin Jazz Festival at Jazz at Lincoln Center. He participated in the NYO 2019 Asia Tour under the direction of Sean Jones. Omeed has also been privileged enough to work with artists such as Dick Oatts, Tim Warfield, Marshall Gilkes, Joe McDonough, Etienne Charles, Scott Wendholt, Mark Patterson, Max Seigel, Steve Fidyk, Nick Marchione, Doug Elliot, and Wycliffe Gordon. Omeed traveled to Australia in 2016 to perform with multi instrumentalist James Morrison in the Royal Easter Day Parade Show. In 2017, Omeed performed at the Kimmel Center on numerous occasions with the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra, as well as the Temple Symphony Orchestra. In 2019, he attended the Southeast Trombone Symposium, and worked with trombone players of the New York Philharmonic, Atlanta Symphony, and Detroit Symphony with special guest John Fedchock.
