William Nathman

Will Nathman is a saxophonist born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. He has recently graduated from his undergraduate studies at the University of North Texas, recieving a degree in Jazz Studies. During his time at UNT, he was a member of the prestigious One O’Clock Lab Band, playing tenor 2 in 2018, tenor 1 in 2019, and 2nd alto in 2020. While in the One O’Clock, he had the opportunity to perform with artists such as Chris Potter and Maria Schneider, and at historic venues like Birdland and Blues Alley. In the spring of 2020, the One O’Clock Lab Band competed in the Jack Rudin Jazz Championship in NYC, where Will was given an outstanding alto saxophone soloist award by Wynton Marsalis. Will was also the lead tenor player in the Disneyland All-American College Band during the summer of 2018, and was invited to return as the group’s Teaching Assistant in the summer of 2019. There, he had the opportunity to work and perform with peers from around the country, as well as top-call LA musicians such as Wayne Bergeron, Gordon Goodwin, Gregg Field, and John Clayton.
