Is the JAS Labor Day Experience Cashless?

JAS bars and merchandise locations are cashless and accept credit and debit cards.

Some individual food vendors may accept cash, but payment options vary by vendor. Bringing a credit card, debit card, or digital payment method is the best way to ensure you can make purchases throughout the festival.

What Is the JAS Labor Day Experience Clear Bag Policy?

To help keep entry safe and security lines moving, the JAS Labor Day Experience has a clear bag policy.

Only clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags measuring 12 x 5 x 12 inches or smaller are permitted. Small clutch bags measuring 6 x 9 inches or smaller are also allowed.

Leave standard backpacks, large purses, opaque totes, coolers, outside food and beverages, glass containers, professional camera equipment, drones, and other prohibited items at home.

Need a Clear Bag?

Official JAS clear bags are available for purchase before the festival and can be picked up through September 2 at the JAS office inside the Red Brick Center for the Arts, 110 E. Hallam Street, Suite 118, Aspen.

Review the complete list of permitted and prohibited items before leaving home to help make your arrival at Snowmass Town Park quick and easy.

Can I Bring a Water Bottle?

Yes. Guests may bring an empty plastic refillable water bottle and use the free water refill stations located throughout the festival grounds.

Metal, aluminum, and steel bottles are not permitted.

Snowmass Town Park sits at approximately 8,000 feet in elevation, so staying hydrated is especially important for visitors arriving from lower elevations. Drink plenty of water throughout the day and take advantage of the free refill stations.

What Should I Wear to the JAS Labor Day Experience?

Colorado mountain weather can change quickly. A warm, sunny afternoon can turn into a cool evening once the sun drops behind the mountains, and afternoon showers are always possible.

The JAS Labor Day Experience is an outdoor, rain-or-shine event with limited shelter. Comfortable shoes and layers are your best bet for a full day at Snowmass Town Park.

Consider bringing sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and a lightweight poncho or waterproof layer. Performances continue during changing weather unless conditions become unsafe. Always follow instructions from festival staff in the event of severe weather.

Can I Bring a Chair or Blanket?

Yes. General Admission guests may bring ground-level chairs with legs no higher than six inches or blankets measuring up to 40 x 60 inches.

The festival has a no-tarp policy, and seating is first come, first served. Chairs are not sold on-site, so bring yours with you if you plan to use one.

Can I Leave and Reenter the Festival?

Yes. Reentry is permitted at the JAS Labor Day Experience. Be sure to have your ticket available when leaving and returning to the festival.

What Is There to Do Between Main Stage Performances?

There is plenty to explore beyond the Main Stage.

JAS Village is open to GA, JAS Deck, and VIP ticket holders and features food, drinks, local merchandise, sponsor experiences, family activities, and additional live music.

Between Main Stage performances, head to the Scout Village Stage for two sets each day. Friday features The Galentines, Saturday brings The Runaway Grooms, and Sunday welcomes Roaring Fork Valley favorite Jes Grew.

Families can also visit the kids’ area for activities including face painting, juggling, crafts, and more.

What Happens After the Main Stage Shows?

The music continues after Snowmass Town Park with JAS After Dark at the Paul JAS Center in downtown Aspen.

The 2026 JAS After Dark lineup features Cimafunk on Friday, Jan Blomqvist on Saturday, and Christone “Kingfish” Ingram on Sunday. These late-night performances offer a completely different way to experience the artists in the intimate setting of the Paul JAS Center.

JAS After Dark tickets are sold separately from JAS Labor Day Experience passes, and availability is limited.
