In light of recent developments in the spread of the delta variant and rapidly changing standards nationally in the live concert industry JAS has updated COVID-19 entry protocols for the upcoming Sept. 3-5 season closing event. All attendees, staff and volunteers ages 12 and older will be required to show proof of full vaccination OR a negative COVID test result (up to 72 hours in advance of the event) along with photo ID. Children 11 and under will be required to provide a negative test result for admission.

We strongly encourage all guests be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. In order to be fully vaccinated in time for JAS, you’ll need to have received your last Moderna or Pfizer (or single Johnson & Johnson) dose by August 20th.

JAS implemented the same COVID policy for both the June Festival and summer JAS Café series, with feedback from members, attendees and artists overwhelmingly in favor of these requirements.

For those unable to get tested in advance, JAS will provide mobile testing sites starting on the morning of Friday, Sept. 3 both in Aspen and at the Brush Creek Intercept Lot, where many attendees park or transfer busses while going to the event. Attendees can schedule their testing appointment in advance for $35 to help spread out the process and eliminate waits. Non-scheduled testing will be available at these sites for $45. To schedule a test in advance please visit us here.

If you take a test independently of the ones JAS has arranged, the test must have been taken within 72 hours of each day you are attending. Ticket holders may be tested Thursday, September 2nd or after for their negative result to be honored on all three festival days. If you are attending only on Friday, you must take your test no earlier than Tuesday, August 31st. If you are attending only on Saturday, you must take your test no earlier than Wednesday, September 1st. If you are attending only on Sunday, your test must be taken no earlier than Friday, September 3rd.

JAS will provide kiosks both at the site and in designated spots in Aspen/Snowmass for attendees to have their status verified. Once your status is verified you will receive a wristband which will be good for the weekend.

Additional safety precautions being implemented under the guidance of local and state health officials include: additional hand washing/sanitizing stations, new touchless payment options at event bars and merchandise tents, touchless refillable water stations and increased cleaning of all high touch surfaces. If taking a bus or shuttle to the event you will be REQUIRED TO WEAR A MASK. This includes all RFTA transportation, TOSV shuttles and JAS appointed shuttles.

JAS recommends all attendees congregate within your group at least 6′ away from other groups.
