This Summer Camp consists of one-week sessions targeted toward applied techniques for intermediate, and advanced players. JAS brings in faculty from CU as well as local musicians. The objective of the JAS Instructor Assistance Program is to provide public music teachers with administrative assistance from an upper-level student, thereby allowing them more time to focus on teaching/lesson plans/etc. vs. the administrative tasks that are often so overwhelming. JAS encourages teachers to choose students who could use the benefit of a paid position,
The goal of this program is to help local students and families financially to acquire intermediate to professional quality instruments so they will be better equipped to succeed in their musical goals. Families apply for available funds and are eligible to receive assistance of up to 50% of the cost of a new instrument. If
Sonic Showdown is a showcase for young musical talent from Aspen to Rifle. This is a unique opportunity to show off what you can do! All forms and genres of music are welcome: DJs, bands, soloists, vocalists, rappers, collaborations, etc.! Next Sonic Showdown TBD.

Pays to Play is a private lesson fund allowing Roaring Fork Valley youth to take private music lessons in any discipline from a local instructor recommended by JAS. JAS pays for 3 hours of lessons to increase opportunities for music education, while supporting the economy of local musicians. If you would like to have your
JAS has partnered with the JFMAF Scholarship Fund to increase awareness and reach of their scholarships, and to co-present new programming creating more opportunities for students to expand their drive and expertise in the medium of sound.
